cutting machines the tape is only the first step; curved edges require specialized finishing machines because standard straight-line trimmers cannot follow a contour. Contour Trimming Machines (often called "Top and Bottom Trimmers") use floating heads equipped with copy bearings that follow the exact shape of the curve to trim excess tape flush with the panel. After trimming, Edge Scraping and Buffing units are used to remove any "witness marks" (small scratches) and restore the luster of the PVC or ABS, ensuring the edge feels as smooth as the surface.
